The Rosh Kollel, Rabbi Yonah Burr shlit”a, is an amazing Talmid Chochom of note. He is  proficient in every area you can imagine, and yet very personable and friendly. He grew up in Long Beach, New York, studied in its famed Yeshiva under the tutelage of Rabbi Yitzchok Feigelstock zt”l, and went on to study in the Mir and Beth Midrash Govoha.

Leaving Lakewood to spread the light of Torah, he was a founding member of the Miami Community Kollel and headed the  Ottawa Kollel for fifteen years.

In addition to his availability to learn with individuals, he gives a popular Wednesday night shiur, with local listeners as well as followers across the country. He also gives a Daf Yomi shiur, and a Meshech Chochma chaburah, as well as many speeches and shiurim in local shuls.The Rebbetzin, Mrs. Chaya Raizy Burr, is a beloved high-school teacher in Kosloff Torah Academy. In addition to her community wide chesed, she also indulges the women of the community with her fabulous shiurim.
